Happy New Years

2011 another year. It seems like 2010 just started. It's been a great year. The yr was spent traveling and sightseeing, visiting with family. Seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Our year ends and begins here in Mission Texas. We usually spend 5-6 here between Oct and March. We had several visitors this yr too. Gary and Marge and Jo and Steve spent some time here in early winter 2010. Reid's Mom came for her annual visit and both the kids, Danny and Steph were here the month of Dec.
We spend spring and summer traveling around this great country of ours. We've discovered that there's a lot to see and do you just have to figure out what it is that you want to see and where you want to go. We spent 2010 seeing 10 states. Some things were repeats like spending 6 weeks in Ga near Steph. She had her third and hopefully last knee surgery this summer. I believe she sees her surgeon again this month for a check up on how her knees are healing. Then we spent some time at some membership parks that we've seen before such as Batesville, Erie and Waldenwoods. We were with friends Tim and Jean and Nancy and Bob during a couple of these visits. Toss a rally in there too at Shipshewana.
New adventures included trips to Akron, OH for a golf tournament, and Manistee MI and Travese City, MI to see the west coast of the state that we hadn't seen yet. Then we looped around to the east side of the state to Alpena and a visit with Larry and Phyllis, We met with about 50 family members in Spring Mill IN for a Birthday celebration for Mom and her twin, Connie. Then made our way back down to Gulf Shores for week of seafood before taking I-10 back toward the valley for the winter.
We did have the sad loss of our cat, Tigger. He was with us for over 14 years so we miss him. He really did travel pretty good.
Looking for to 2011 and where our travels will lead us. We're hoping to leave the valley in March and go North to San Antonio and then west from there. Keep reading and see where we go next.
