A little bit of Mission in Tucson?

It hasn't happenend yet but there's a cool front moving our way and we're hearing that tomorrow could be a windy day with gust over 30...Could tomorrow feel like a day in Mision we'll find out.
Till that happens we'll enjoy the weather today..Sunny with a breeze and 75 degrees. I have my windows open and it's so comfortable inside.
We haven't done much this weekend.. Reid's enjoyed watching the golf matches and I've watches some of them but mostly I've been reading and crocheting.. I haven't had a schedule to follow so I've walked when I've wanted to.. got a little biking in and caught up on some of my tv shows that I've had taped..It's been a good week to slow down and rest before we hit Pahrump next weekend and we start tearing out carpet and laying flooring (I'm not implying that I'll be doing the work I just wont be able to sleep through the work being done). I'll be busy getting Lady to the groomers, getting some grocery shopping done, get back into my routine at the gym which also has a line dance class I want to check out, get the guest bedroom ready for Mom's visit in a couple of weeks..I have plenty of things to do to keep me busy and not bored.. the only thing missing will be my Leisure friends to hang out with but in April we should start seeing a few friends coming through the area on their way to their summer plans.. can't wait..

Tucson

We arrived in Tucson on Tues and got all set up at Lazy Days which use to be Beaudry's. We checked out camping world and then the restaurant here at the park since we didn't want to go out.
On Wed we headed out to watch some of the golf tournament.. Let me say that it's for the young.. We've been to other courses and this was the most challenging one so far.. It was pretty much all up hill and we all know I haven't done much walking this winter with my fatigue issues and my knee problems.. this day was a real challenge.. There were only a couple of grandstands for sitting and they were really full and the course was really spread out so it involved walking a mile up hill this way or that so my knee wasn't kind.. my energy level stayed up and I was glad for that (the med's are working) but my poor knee and leg was in a lot of pain by the time we got back to the rv.. It ached and hurt for the rest of the night.. it's much better today though.
We have a few other things we want to check out around this town so we'll find plenty of things to keep us busy
I can't finish my post without telling you that it was 78 and sunny yesterday with 10% humidity and I got a little sun on my face and arms.. it was just a beautiful day.
***Steph started her long awaited job yesterday... she's got to get back in the habit of working again.

Las Cruces, NM

I thought I blogged this part of the trip already but I guess I either didn't or I didn't save it so here goes.
We arrived in Las Cruces on Sunday afternoon. The trip from Fort Stockton to here was a good one. Clear non rainy skies greeted us all the way.. Once arriving we got set up and we knew we were going to LaPosta for lunch so we decided to call ahead for reservations and were we glad we did. When we walked into the resturant there we're people waiting for a table.. We heard some had waited two hours and others weren't going to wait so they were leaving.. But calling ahead was the thing to do cause at 2:35 they seated us (our reservations were for 2:30) our table even had a reserved for Debbie sign on it. Too cool.
The food was as good as we remembered it. So yummy..
On Monday we made a walmart trip and then tried another Mexican place. What I ordered was really good but Reid's wasn't as good as LaPosta. We left on Tues morning and headed to Tucson.
More later on that we're on our way to the golf tournament now.

Rainy days

After we got set up last night we went out for supper with some friends that we met at one of the Challenger events we've been to. They are a nice couple of kids (they are Steph's age) but they don't mind hanging out with us old folks.. Challenger fans come in all ages..They took us to a burger joint called Armadillo's.. And a joint it was but the food was really good and so was the service, the atmosphere was great too with music playing and everyone having a good time..I like those kinds of places.. The parking lot was overflowing with people waiting to park but we got right in with a table.. The others had various types of burgers and I had a grilled chicken sandwich which was supersized and tasty.
Last night was stormy which was ok for me I got to hear the rain on the rooftop all night which I enjoyed but kept Reid awake.. (different strokes)
Driving through San Antonio this morning was interesting.. The traffic was light for the most part but it was raining pretty hard with thunder and lightening. It took an hour to get through the city and we starting driving out of the heavy stuff.. it still rained off and on till we got near Ft Stockton.
This is where we stopped for the night and they've had very little rain here. We're in a park on a little hill so we have a nice panaramic view. It's been cool here with a slight breeze but at least we've seen the sun.. Reid said he'd trade off temps for some sun and he's gotten that today.
Tomorrow it's off to NM

San Antonio

We arrived in SA a little while ago. It did rain most of the way here.. The drive here was pretty easy, no wind just rain. We're only going to be here over night which is a good thing cause our site came with it's own pond.. (from so much rain, get it)
It was really sad leaving Leisure this morning.. I said a few more good byes while Reid was getting the car hooked up. I'm going to miss the rest of the season activities which are going strong but I'm going to be doing other fun things in AZ so it's a wash I guess. We have several friends and family members coming to visit starting in Mar with Mom's visit then a few friends scattered througout April and Danny's visit in May..Plenty to keep me busy and having fun.

Travel Day Friday

Puppy Treats are all back in the RV and the golf cart is tucked inside the casita so it's time to get on the road. It's been a different winter here and I'm going to miss my friends like crazy but some of them we'll be seeing again through out the year. I do enjoy our time here cause of our friends here at the park and the ones that drop in throughout the winter. We enjoying going out to eat with them and having them over.. but because of the weather we didn't do as much cooking out and getting together as we usually do but hey, there's always next winter.
We'll probably be driving in rain the next couple of days (if you can believe the weather forecasters) but hopefully by the time we're in NM we'll see some sunny skies.. (maybe, maybe not)
I'll post often as we take out time getting to NV.

Getting Ready

All I've been doing is getting stuff ready to go.. I have to decide what needs to stay here and what goes with me..It was a good week to pack since it was cool and drizzly most days.. Some people down here like this weather but it's not for me..now don't get me wrong I do love a good rain shower.. I love to sleep at night with rain hitting the rooftop. But it's not my idea of a good time when it drizzles for days on end and it's cool, by cool I'm talking 40's-50's. I'm in the valley for 70's and 80's.
I told all our friends that once we get out of town the weathers gonna get better it always does. They will be enjoying sunny 80's soon. LOL
I'm feeling a lot better.. I've been taking my meds for a couple of weeks now my energy level is getting better each day.
Tomorrow will be errands day while the carpet cleaner guys are working in the rv.. I hope the weather is nice this week so I can get out and about and say my goodbyes till next fall.
