Happy Anniversary Reid

Happy anniversary Reid.. it's been a fun ride.. The last 31 years (all of my adult life) have been wonderful. Here's looking forward to another 31+ years. I love you..
We drove into town today and went to Sam's to get Reid's meds. We also stopped by The Butcher shop for some steaks and then to Lazy Joe's Fish and Chips..  I was hoping for more from the seafood place but it wasn't to be.. the shrimp was ok but the scallops were not done.. Everything was fried and I try not to eat a lot of fried food. Reid had the fish and he thought it could have cooked a little longer too. It was set up fast food style where you place your order at the counter and they bring it out when it's done.. It was pricy for fast food but I"m glad we tried something new.. Now I don't have to go back there again.

Getting ready to start packing up the rig.. we'll be leaving here on Oct 13th heading toward Texas..
I'm ready to get back in the swing of things in Leisure..

In case you missed it on facebook today...Molly ran away today..but I ran after her.. Steph has just arrived and I was outside walking Molly.. she was happy to see Steph and jumping up on her
so we were heading back to the door and I took Molly on her lease expecting her to head on in the house like she'd done dozens of times before..Well this time she starts running by Reids truck and she just kept going.. down the drive way and out the open gate.. I'm running along behind her screaming her name at the top of my lungs and she's just running.. I started saying "Bad" "Bad Molly" and she stopped at the driveway down the street from us.. she just laid down in the driveway and waitied for me.. For some reason she's always stopped doing whatever she was doing wrong when I've said "bad"
so it's my go to word now and it worked when it needed too today..
Believe me it was a lot more stressful for me than Molly.. it was a game to her..

Happy Birthday to me

It was a very happy birthday.. but then all of them have been. Reid decided to take me to Vegas. We really wanted seafood (we're so missing The Shrimp Basket in Gulf Shores AL) but the place he found was closed on Sunday so we ended up at a buffet. They are fine and usually have a lot of choices but it was Brunch and I usually want either breakfast or lunch but not both so I stuck with the lunch portion.. They always want to service you champange and I don't drink that stuff anytime I sure don't want it for breakfast..

The girls and I are taking it easy this morning. Reid took my car in to town to get the tow thing put on so I took a three mile walk earlier and I guess I'll get a few groceries today.. Gotta figure out what to fix for supper first..

We're going to be leaving here around mid Oct so I'll need to start getting everything organized for the trip. That will keep me busy a few hrs each day.. Most of the stuff that has to be put back in the RV can't be done till closer to time to leave.

I can't believe how quiet the girls are.. one is napping (you can guess which one) and the other is playing with a chew bone. If Reid was here trying to work they would be barking at every sound known to man.

We'll be taking the same route back to TX so I don't expect any special outings other than hitting a couple of our favorite restaurants along the way back.

Our weather is still very warm.. We're getting to the high 90's to 100's still most days but I can still feel the fall in the air.. The heat (it's a dry heat) isn't as stiffling as it was and the evenings are cooling down nicely.

Fall is in the air

It's it really, who knows for sure.. But what I do know is once the sun went down yesterday the evening cooled off to a comfortable 77 degrees and that hasn't happened in weeks.. This morning when I got up or better yet when Molly woke me up it was a wonderful 57 degrees..(I don't like it any colder than about 55)  This is the time last year that the mornings and evening get real comfortable outside.. The days are still heating up to the 90's (it's the desert after all) but I love the trade off with the evenings and mornings.

We're going to be leaving for the winter in about 6 weeks. My park activities pick up Nov 1st and I do like to be there on "opening day". We'll take about a week to 10 days to get there and be ready for Nov. I have missed the gang so much and will enjoy getting back into my routine with golf, line dancing and biking.

Molly has a whole new world waiting for her in TX.. She'll get introduced to Lady's golf cart and our walks around the block.. She'll also enjoy being back in the RV where she can sit on the dash and watch people go by.

This was labor day weekend but we didn't do much.. Just sat around the house watching TV.. Steph worked all weekend and she'll also work tomorrow.. She wont mind working tomorrow since it's double time and a half..

We'll probably take a trip into town this week to shop and find a place to eat out.. We are so limited here in Pahrump with restaurants.. Only a few chains to chose from.

Reid and the girls are doing fine.. Reid takes advantage of the pool every evening and if the girls aren't sleeping, eating or barking they aren't having fun.
