Merry Christmas

Hello Everyone.. I hope each and everyone of you had a wonderful Christmas.. We've had a great one.
The park kicked off the fun with our annual golf cart Christmas parade.. That's always fun.. Some times I drive our cart but other times I wave at all the other drivers as they pass by our place. It's so fun to watch them go by and see all the different ideas people come up with. Then I got my Christmas cards handed out and went to a Christmas Open House on Christmas Eve with friends and saw dozens more friends. Today Reid and I had Christmas Dinner with about 60 park friends down at our club house.. If the kids can't be here then it's the greatest way to spend the holidays. Afterwards I headed over to Phyllis' for a visit with all her family.
It's been a fun few days and tomorrow it will go back to normal around here "till the next party" and speaking of parties, Mexico sure knows how to party.. They have festivities for the next several days with music and fireworks that we can hear from our place.. These parties go on way into the night and last a few days after the new years.
Our weather was great too. we were in the 70's the last few days and sunny but it's back into the 50's for the next few days. We've had a shower tonight and more rain expected tomorrow.
Merry Christmas and Love from Reid and Debbie

Early Christmas Gift

Today while out shopping I ran into some "E"  friends of ours that we hadn't seen or heard from in a long time. It was so great to see W & G again. They looked wonderful and we had a nice visit in the "chip" isle.
W told me it had been a while since I'd updated my blog so I decided to do that today.
I haven't really done too much since we arrived because of my Achilles tendonitis.. I've been babying my heels and keeping them iced and elevated..
The park is busy with activities so I've been watching line dance since I can't dance right now. We've also had three dances where I keep the pop corn popping. That's fun for me, I get to talk to everyone and listen to music and since I'm behind the counter and away for everyone I can sing along with the band and no one hears me.
We've checked out three Churches in the area and I believe we've decide on Grace Community Church in Pharr as to the one we'll be attending regularly.
We have our golf cart parade tomorrow evening and we're going to be having Christmas Dinner at the Rec center with park friends..That should be fun.
I will try to keep this blog updated more often.. I promise...

I'm a Valley girl

Am I the only one that thought that was funny.. Half the year I'm in the Rio Grande Valley and the other half I'm in the Pahrump Valley.
We arrived in Mission Thurs afternoon. It was cooler than I expected it to be but a front had just gone through the day before dropping 4 inches of rain in a 6 hour period here.. that's a lot for this place. Mosquitoes love me so I've already been bitten.
We spend the rest of the weekend unpacking and organizing.. I'm still straightening and organizing and it will probably take me the rest of the week to get all done.. We sleep in the RV but do the cooking and showering  in the casita so things have to be moved around.. Once we get set up I like to decorate with my statues and get things place where I like for them to stay for the season. Once all that's done I'm ready to get started on the fun stuff..
I took a short walk this morning but it took a while cause I kept talking to people.. took me almost an hour to get 3/10 of a mile.  I usually do 2 miles in 45 minutes so I was slow today.
I know why Reid feels bad here the humidity is bothering me this yr too.. I'm just wiped out from it.
This week we're starting dance again so that will keep me busy.. I'm not working in the office this season so that frees up my mornings to do aerobics and walking.. hopefully I'll get aerobics started this week but it might wait till next week.. We'll see.

St David, Van Horn and San Antonio

I really thought I'd posted since Mesa but it appears I didn't. We're fine.. We did the first half of the trip in 11 days. And the last half we did in three days so it was hectic but it was a good trip..
We stayed in St David for two nights. It's a membership park and it was pretty nice..No complaints not even ants..
Then it was off to Van Horn, TX nothing much there just a place to stop in between AZ border and San Antonio. The only thing I remember about Van Horn is the grass is full of sand spurs.. If you don't know what that is ask your puppies.. They are very sharp sticky spurs and the girls can't walk once they get in their paws. They are tiny some times and you can't see them so I took the girls for their walks and the spurs got all over the girls paws and fur and our shoes and we track them all over the RV. It's been swept, vac'd and I've also hand picked them out of the carpet and we're still stepping on them in our sock feet.. it's awful..
Leaving Van Horn and stopping for the night near SA. We stayed outside the city about 40 miles and we alway have to stop at Sea Island Shrimp House when we come through there.. it's delicious. There's four locations there but we'd sure love for one to open in Mission.
We left at 7am to avoid rush hour but about three minutes later we were already getting to heavy traffic so we took the loop around the city hoping to avoid a lot of the congestion and we did pretty good for the most part.. 1 hr and 20 minutes later we were out of the city and heading toward the valley.

Mesa AZ

We decided to leave Kingman a day early so we traveled the three plus hours yesterday and arrived at Happy Days RV park about 1PM.
It's really a mobile home park with a few RV's tossed in but from looking around that's the norm around here and that's ok. Most of the regular residents in this park don't seem to be here yet but I'm sure that will be changing closer it gets to Nov 1st. We had to get the three S's out of the way so we could start enjoying our visit.. (set-up, shower and supper). Actually on this visit Supper was part of the visit cause we met Nancy and Bob at Garcia's Mexican Restaurant for a wonderful late lunch/supper and then went back to the RV park so Nancy could spoil my girls with treats and we visited another couple of hours..
This afternoon they will head back over for supper, we're grilling out steak compliments of Nancy and Bob and Nancy is doing a potato recipe I haven't tried but it sounds like I might be stealing the recipe from her. I'm adding a couple of veggies dishes too the mix as well.
We're going to be in town for a week so you know it will be a week of visits, food, food and visits.
Reid heard the 2nd AC unit go out on the rig this morning.. It's in the 90's today but cooling off to the mid 70's the rest of the week so it shouldn't be too bad with only one air. Trying to decide if we'll get it repaired here or wait till TX.. Good news: it's under warranty
We wanted our usual Sunday breakfast of McD's and found one across from the Walmart about 2 miles from here so that will be handy for me to get back and forth from. (as long as I turn left when I'm suppose to.)
Safe travel prayers to our friends heading to back to Mission.. I know that Rita & Dan left MI yesterday and Peg & Jim left this morning and I'm pretty sure Jim and Linda are leaving MN soon. So everyone be safe and see y'all soon.

Travel day 1 completed

We put the precious cargo in the rig (Lady and Molly) about 9am on Thurs and headed out of town.. Of course it took over an our to get over to 95 because of road construction but we all kept our cool and waited for the construction traffic jam to ease then we were off. The jam up was due to Hwy 160 being repaved (it was in great shape before so not sure why they were repaving it when there are roads in worse shape) but they had traffic down to one lane so we waited and waited.. The sign said to expect up to 30 minute delays but it wasn't that long.
We traveled through Vegas then around Lake Mead and over Hoover Dam taking 93 over to Kingman AZ.. We are at Blakely Ranch RV park tonight. We needed a post office to mail some of the Get A Life Media dvd's orders so after driving around this city for a while we decided to eat at Cracker Barrel,  my idea, I love CB and NV doesn't have any so it's been 7 months without it.. It was yummy.. Reid gets to choose the next place since he happily went with my suggestion yesterday..  While there I asked one of the ladies directions to the post office and she spoke my language.. not miles, not north south east and west, and not street names.. she said leave this parking lot, she pointed left and go past the walgreens and the car place and take the road on the left beside the car place and it took us right to the PO parking lot.. Yeah.. We have to go back later today so now we know where we're going..
I've had a wonderful, crisp two mile walk this morning and the girls and I are heading over to the puppy park in a few minutes for their walk.. What fun..
Reid is busy working on the web orders getting them ready to mail. Right now the girls are sleeping so I'll wait till they get restless again before disturbing them for their walk.
More later as we travel back to TX.

Countdown to TX

After almost 7 months it's time to be heading back to TX for the winter.. We're actually getting a later start than normal for us. No real reason just not in any rush to get anywhere. We're going to take our time getting there and enjoy the trip down.
Our leave date will be Thurs and the past couple of days has been "spring cleaning" and only taking what we'll need for the winter. I'll stay busy the next three days getting the final items packed away inside the rig.. The girls are following me around the house as I pick up things and pack them. Lady fully knows what's going on while Molly just follows me around. Lady has been doing this for over 7 yrs now but it's only Molly's third trip and she's still learning the ropes.
Our first day's travel will be to Kingman. I'll keep you all posted as to our stops along the way.

WOW

I can't believe it's been over two months since I blogged.. I was going to do better.. Maybe I just had so much going on that I didn't have time.. I will say it was a much faster summer than I thought it would be.. But I did keep myself busy.. I have to stay busy or I'll get bored  and if I'm bored I'm restless. So I was at the gym 5 days a week with 7 classes and no it didn't help lose weight but it does keep me active and the joint stiffness eased up..
Of course I played with my girls all summer.. They are as cute as ever.
My Mary Kay business is off and running.. I have enjoyed working it and meeting others women.. It's  been a lot of fun.. I do have a website so I'll share that with you guys and if anyone ever needs any product and you don't work with a consultant I'd love to have you order with me.. If you have friends or family that need Mary Kay please feel free to give them my name, number and website.
 My website is www.marykay.com/drucker5
I'm hearing that people are starting to arrive in Mission already.. We are tentatively leaving here (NV) on the 24th of Oct.. As always that's subject to change.
Once we get on the road I'll try to keep you updated.. There's some that like to know where we're at each day or week.

Staying Busy

I can finally say I have plenty to keep me busy here.. Remember last post and I said I was going to a Mary Kay party.. We'll I went and then I decided to start selling Mary Kay.. I hope this is going to be lots of fun and a good way to met more people.
I had my grand opening today and it went pretty good. My director and team leader were here to help me and show me the ropes and we got to make up Steph which was fun.
So if anyone out there needs product or wants to try it out let me know I'll be happy to assist you.
Yesterday a group of us from the gym did a girls day out. We drove into Vegas for a late lunch and a movie.. had a blast..
I drove and Steph went with me along with a gym friend, Nancy (another Nancy friend) and we got out of the movie about 7 the rest wanted to go to Kohl's and normally I would too but it was already so late so we just headed back to Pahrump, we'll it was a good choice cause within about 15 minutes a bad thunderstorm moved through and there were 26 reported car crashes (no one here can drive in the rain cause it happens so rarely) anyway there were 70MPH winds, pouring rain, roads flooding, power outages.. The rest of the crew were stuck in Vegas waiting for the roads to clear out and didn't get home till midnight.. (but they were all safe) So glad we didn't get caught in all that mess. Looks like Vegas is getting another storm tonight. The only rain we've had here in three and a half months has been sprinkles. Oh Wait Reid just said the rain that's been hovering over the mountain looks like it's heading our way.. Gonna go out and watch it happen.

it's been awhile

I haven't updated in a while but I'm not sure anyone reads this so maybe no one noticed.
We've been back in Pahrump for three months now.. I'm happy to say I'm staying busy so the time hasn't gone by too slowly.
I've met a few people and that's made it more fun for me.
I joined the gym April 1 and go to 7 classes a week so the ladies that are at the gym are the ones I know. We've done a couple of things outside of the gym so they are including me as one of their own.
One of the aerobic instructors had a luncheon at her house in early June and we played games afterwards.. Someone said it's good job security for her to have luncheons so we'll need to go back to the gym, (Ha). Today one of the ladies is having a Cupcake and color party at the Chamber. She's a Mary Kay lady and her director is in town so they put on this event. I'm going to check it out later. When there's a birthday in the aerobics group we go out for lunch too.
Steph and I are bowling once a week. Our scores are getting better. She will spend next week moving back into our house.. Her lease is up Aug 31 and she'd planned to move back in in Sept so she'll been here during the winter when we were gone but the owner of the house she's renting is wanting to sell the house and offered to let her out of her lease early so we didn't see any reason for her not to go ahead and move back in.. Molly is older now so we hope there's not too much drama with her cat, Phoenix and Molly..
We spend about 6 hrs each Sunday driving into Vegas for Church.. it's a long day but we enjoy it.. We stop for lunch usually and we've found a very good Mexican place called Super Mex.. Very tasty. I've also started volunteering in the nursery and I made 10 dozen cookies for VBS..I actually make 13 dozen but one was for Reid and one for Steph and one extra for replacement cookies in case some broke (some did)
Some friends from Mission passed through town Memorial Day week.. Angie & Rick and Deb & Phillip.. so we had happy hour on our patio with them.. It was so good to see people we know.
The pool is finally warming up and usable.. With our temps hitting 113 the next three days the pool will get used by me.. Reid is in it nightly.
I guess I've caught you back up if anyone's interested.

Visit With Mom

Mom arrived on April 30 and we've had a wonderful visit and it's not over yet. She'll be here till May 14th. Molly has a new best friend. Her favorite place to lay is in Mom's lap.
This morning Mom's not feeling great and doesn't wont Molly in her lap and Molly is heartbroken.. She looks so sad. She's moping around the house with her sad face.. I have to leave soon so I don't want to start her to playing and get her worked up but when I get back we'll play some and that will make her feel better. (I'm talking about Molly not Mom)
We've had a fun week of visiting, playing Yahtzee (Steph too) watching the trial, going shopping, eating out, Mom's read some and I've crocheted so it's been a full week. I've still manage to squeeze in my trips to the gym too.
Our weather has been crazy.. It's only been in the 70-80's this week with a few days dropping into the 60's.. Areas around  town has had rain and even some hail. We've only had sprinkles around here. This weekend it's getting back into the 90's and that's where I like it.
No real plans for the rest of today and tomorrow, We've talked about grilling burgers but no set plans yet. Sunday we're heading into Church then Mother's Day lunch out..

Time for Mom's visit

Mom is making her way cross country tomorrow for her two week visit with us.. It should be fun, as much fun as the two of us can handle.  We hit the 100 mark today but it's dropping back into the 80's on Wed for a few days. I don't think she'll like those temps but we'll be inside most of the time.
Another week of the same.. My weeks are pretty consistent. We take the drive into Vegas on Sunday for Church and we stopped at JCPenney's on the way home and then had a salad for lunch..
Today was the gym, Walmart for a few groceries, then my pedicure..I love to have my tired feet pampered.. I've heard it's good for your over all health to have healthy pampered feet so that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
The girls are as precious as ever. Lady doesn't get all bent out of shape when Molly is too close anymore and they both share the bed on the occasional nap day..

What to say what to say

When we're moving around there's a lot to say cause each couple of weeks it's usually a different town or activity going on but when I'm staying put for the entire summer I don't want to repeat the same old stuff so I'll try to keep my weekly updates interesting. April seems to be going by pretty quickly.. It's been a much cooler April than last year that's for sure but I believe we're heading into the hot time of the season.. The next 10 days are calling for mid 80's to low 90's.. That's my comfort zone.. I'm usually good till it hits the 100 degree mark then I get warm..
I'm trying to get over to the gym 4-5 times a week, to get out of the house and keep myself busy and limber.. I also like to walk whenever I can out at the lake. Once we hit 100 I wont be able to walk to much unless I go real early (not happening) or real late. I can walk on the treadmill at the gym but I'd rather be outside enjoying the sunshine and breeze.
Steph and I went bowling last week and had a great time so I see us doing that more and more this summer. If I could  get Reid to go with me that would be fun too.. Sprinkle in pet grooming's, color therapy for me (aka: wash that gray right out of my hair)  and a pedicure and that's pretty much my month.
We've also found a Church that we like in Vegas so our Sundays have been busy with driving around the mountain for Church, stopping for lunch or running errands then heading back to the valley and the girls..
Mom's coming for a visit next week so we'll be entertaining her. I see some competitive games of Yahtzee coming our way.
 That's all for now.

Settling In

We've been back over a week and I guess we're getting settled in.  The weather, the main reason we "settled" in this part of the country has been beautiful.. Sunny days with cool nights.. It's door and window opening weather where no heat or air is needed right now.
Reid seems to love it here so I try to keep busy so I don't get too bored..
I joined the gym again and I'm taking an aerobic class that meets three times a week, a Zumba class that meets twice a week and the there a PACE program that I can do at my on "pace" it's very similar to the curves concept (they just can't us the name "curves") I'm getting out of the house daily doing those activities.. Of course the girls keep me busy too so if I'm at home I'm usually tossing a ball for Molly. In the evenings I have Braves baseball to cheer for and I have my crocheting and reading too. Sounds like I'm busy so why does it feel like I have so much free time. Steph stops by at least once on her days off and I give her our left overs so on her work days she'll have something other than fast food to eat. It works out pretty good since we don't eat a lot of leftovers any more the food doesn't go to waste.
I guess that's all I have to talk about for now.. The sun is out and my patio is empty so I guess I'll go set outside for a bit.. I want to go to aerobic at noon but Reid and Lonnie are installing a swamp cooler (similar to an air conditioner but not really) so I might be needed for puppy patrol while they are doing it.. I'll go do the pace later if I have to miss the noon class..
 chat later.

Back in Nevada

After a couple of days in Apache Junction visiting with Bob and Nancy we headed out about 7am this morning for Nevada.. It was a good travel day with perfect weather--no wind.
It was a long day but a good day.. (Reid and the girls are crashed out already)
We arrived at the house around 2 pm and got some unpacking done but we really didn't do much today.. we've got all summer to get it done.
Speaking of work to do, when we arrived back at the house we couldn't believe how much grass had grown on our rocked area.. the dirt area didn't have any grass..go figure..
Steph stopped by after work to see the girls.. not us just the girls..
Everyone had a good summer, keep in touch.

More sunny skies

We left Las Cruces on Friday morning early hoping to stay ahead of some of the stronger winds. We had another wonderful travel day and arrived in our park in the Mesa/Apache Junction area around 4 which was really 3 cause we didn't realize we'd change to Pacific time till we reach NV but we did.
We got set up and after Bob and Nancy arrived we went to the Sundance Restaurant and Bar across the street from the campground.. We'd never tried it before but it was close and since Reid was tired of driving we decided to check it out.. It was pretty good.. We all tried something different: Reid had steak, I had ribs, Bob had the fish and Nancy had a chef salad that looked very good. I tried the bread pudding, it wasn't the best but it wasn't the worse either..
Today I was was awake and alert before 8. The sun was shinning in my window by 7am and that helps me to get going in the mornings.. Our weather is going to be sunny and 77 which is a little cooler than Missions 100 but it's calm and full sun with a "dry heat" so I'll be loving it.
We're going to be meeting Bob and Nancy for a late lunch at Garcia's Mexican Restaurant around two then sit around and visit some more this afternoon. We'll have another travel day tomorrow heading through Phoenix then through Las Vegas and around the mountains into Pahrump.

Long travel day today.

We left Kerrville planning on stopping at Van Horn Tx for the night then going through El Paso in the morning but as we were traveling we discovered that the winds were going to get really high later in the afternoon in El Paso and also tomorrow was going to be a very windy day too and since we were going to be stopping around 1pm we decided to keep going and try to get here before the winds got too bad.. It work out really well and we arrived in Las Cruces, NM about 3pm. We got all set up and got the girls fed.. they lost an hour so they were wanting to be fed on TX time not NM time.. They will be another hour off on Sunday so it will take several days to get them back on the 5:00 schedule.
We headed to our favorite Mexican restaurant which is in Old Mesilla and had their sour cream chicken enchiladas. They are the best..
We're making it an early night and we'll be going into Apache Junction tomorrow where we'll get with Nancy and Bob..We'll be spending two days there before heading into Pahrump on Sunday.

Kerrville TX

We left the valley this morning and had a great travel day.. At first it didn't look like that would be the case cause it was overcast and breezy. By the time we were in Edinburg it was drizzling but that always happens around that part of the trip each year.. It only lasted a few minutes and by 10ish it was sunny.. The winds calmed down also so the rest of the trip was great. We hit San Antonio around 1:30 and the traffic was super lite for that city.. We drove right through the center of town and made our way northwest.. We stopped in Kerrvile (known as Hill Country) about an hour outside of San Antonio for the night and will get started on our second day of travel in the morning.
It's cooler here than our last couple of days were in Mission.. I've felt cold all day knowing that it's only in the 70's and not 100 degrees..
The girls did great today. They actually slept side by side between Reid and me most of the way here. Usually Lady wont sit by us if Molly's there but today they shared the space nicely. Molly gets a little nervous around cities wilh all the traffic buzzing past so when we got close the city I opened her crate and she walked in a took a nice nap..
 More to come tomorrow.

Time to leave

We're going to be heading out of the valley in the morning. We've had a wonderful 5+ months and it's time to go.. The weather here had just been fantastic.. It's just now getting nice.. of course my nice 100 degrees is different than others.. Right Linda and Jim.. We broke 100 the past couple of days but it's cooled off today to only 90.
The hardest part about leaving is saying good bye but I choose to say so long till the fall.
Here's praying for safe travels for all our RV friends this summer and Good health.. Keep in touch.

Where exactly is the windy city

I know Chicago is the windy city but I believe Mission comes in a close second. Our wind started March 2 (right on schedule) and we've had approx. 9 out of the last 11 days with wind over 20 mph with gusts over 40.. day after day of it gets really old.. Throw in the blowing dirt and grit and it's awful.. Today is starting out good so we'll see how it goes.
We're winding down our time here.. We'll be leaving in the next couple of weeks we believe. The temps are starting to stay in the 70-80's in NV so it's time to head back there.  I think Steph will be happy to see us.. I don't cook a lot but more than she does. She likes to stop by on her way home from work to have supper.
Molly is at the groomers right now getting all her fur cut off.. Her long skirt has gotten matted over the last couple of weeks and no matter how much I combed her I couldn't keep up with them so we'll start the skirt over.
Lady is going to the Vet later today. She's having some "gland" discomfort so I'll get that taken care of for her. She actually went on Thurs but it didn't solve the problem.
I have a few things going on this week but not too much.. I have dance later today and Bible Study in the morning, then I need to groc shop and clothes shop sometime this week also. The stores are alot closer to me here than they are in NV so I'll take advantage of it while we're still here.
I love to stay busy and I sure do when we're in the valley..

What does March mean

It's means I've survived the Girl Scout Cookie Sales. It means that March madness is about to begin with basketball tournaments going on for the next several weeks and it mean opening day for baseball is only 26 days away. It's also time for Rv'ers to start moving around again.. I know the weather is still bad in some places but everyone starts thinking about heading to their next location.. I know we do.. We've been in TX for over 4 months and it's time to pack things up and get going.. We've decided to head out of the valley later in March and make our way back to NV.. I'm ready to get on the road (I'm always ready) and have a change of scenery.. That's probably the thing I love most about this lifestyle is waking up one day with a lake outside your window and the next week you have mountains on the horizon, While in hill country I've had deer grazing outside my window and that's fun to watch (till the girls see them).
I do miss all the things we do here and all our friends that's here but we'll all gather here again come Nov and start all over again.
I have another busy week this week but things are starting to wind down and most activities will end at the end of the month. A few people will stay throughout the summer so they will keep some activities going and that's great for the ones that live here full time.
Lots of our friends here will be heading back to MI, MN, IN, ND for the summer and we wish them happy travels. We're going to be hanging out in NV for the summer again and that's ok.. Steph is close by and when she's not working and when she'll go with me we can always head into Vegas to shop and eat out and get our hair and nails done.. You know girl things.

February is ticking down

It's late Feb and people are starting to talk about leaving for the season..Most people start heading home around the week before Easter and since Easter is coming earlier this year most will be gone by the third week of March..Park activities usually run through March so the ones of us still here will have plenty to do. We left for AZ about this time last year but so glad we didn't do that this year cause Tucson had snow on Wed. But our weather has been beautiful most of this season.. The best winter we've had in three years. We're probably going to be hanging around another 4-5 week then head back to NV for a while.
Park activities will  be continuing through March so I wont be gettting bored even though some friends will be leaving till next fall.,
On another note..We sold our Fifthwheel RV this past week. We kept it when we decided to go to a motorhome cause we weren't ready to let it go. We had it parked here in TX and use it one winter but for the most part it was just stored but our neighbor made us an offer so we sold it to him..
My girls need there supper so I'll go for now..

Hitch Itch

Is it a condition?.. it sure is and I think I have it.. I've been kinda down the past couple of days and I think I've figured out why.. Lack of travel. We arrived here in the valley on Oct 19 and we haven't moved.. That's how most of our winters go but after a few months I get ready to go.. Could be the weather here.. It's been beautiful and warm so we get conditioned that it's spring and time to get moving even when the rest of the country is still getting cold and snow.. I have plenty to keep me busy the next couple of months but for some reason I'm down.. My friend Rita is out of town so that could be part of it.. She's my run around pal.. We go shopping together, out to eat, play pool and crochet.. She's due back into town today so maybe I'll get back in the groove for the next 8 weeks.
I do miss the traveling though.. I  miss waking up seeing the lake at Nachez Trace, or the mountains around our place in NV. I miss driving along the coast line in MS and seeing friends and family along the way.. I think by having the two places, one in TX and one in NV we've gotten out of RV'ing and more into running between the two places.. I think I like the simpler times of not having a home base and just going where the wind or weather took up..

Open House at the Park

Today is the Open House for the park. Martin puts it on every year to try and sell the remaining lots that's for sale.. It seems this year turn out is lower than normal but I guess it's the economy.
We grilled out hotdogs and had lunch outside today.
We had our place open too but only one couple has stopped by so I guess there's not a lot of interest in buying this year.
Today has been a beautiful day with sunshine and 70 degree temps.. Here's hoping our winter is over..
I know that East Tenn got about 2.5 inches of snow.. Danny was out of school today..That's good for a long weekend.
The park had their craft fair on Tues so that was fun.. Then on Wed we tried something new.. We had our first pool scramble. I decided to sign up so we'd have enough to play and I ended up tieing for first play among the girls.. It was so much fun. There were 6 girls and 6 guys and we played in teams of two.. I'll sign up to play again. I don't play often so we all know it was the guys I was paired with that carried me. Still it was fun. Going to the dance tomorrow night..

Happy Birthday Molly

Molly turned one on New Years Day.. She's become a real joy.. she still has her moments but then don't we all.
How can anyone deny this face

It's a new year

Happy New Year Everyone.. Hope the beginning of the New Year was wonderful for everyone.
The park here had a party so I went for a couple of hours. Saw friends (that I see just about daily) heard some music and had a blast.. Reid stayed home with the girls (what a wonderful excuse to have) Fireworks were going off all over the valley so that was keeping Molly running from one window to the other. She handled them a little better than she did on July 4th.
Our weather has cooled. It's been drizzly and cool the last two or three days but we can't complain cause this has been a much better winter than the last three..
This month I'll stay busy with dance a couple days a week. Bible study and next Tues is the Ladies Birthday Luncheon which I'm hosting with Rita. That will be fun can't wait for that..We also have a park craft show and my office work.. Something going on every week to keep me busy.. This winter is flying by.
