It's June

Maybe I can get around to updating once a month.. I'll certainly try.
Not a lot going on here. My opinion of the weather is it's been way cooler here this spring than I like.. I like hot dry weather and yes it's dry but cooler than normal and windy..The pool temp isn't staying warm enough for me to jump in and Reid hasn't been in it for days.
My girls are busy barking at every car that drives by but still getting plenty of naps in throughout the day..
They do enjoy running around the yard.. I walk daily usually after 8 at night and they run and play.. it's so cute to see them run without leashes to restrict them.
Steph is working 12 hr shifts so I haven't seen  her much the past few weeks. She did stop over on Sunday to walk the girls while we were in Vegas. We went out to lunch with others from the Church and didn't get back to the house till almost 6. So glad she was able to run over after work and take the girls out for us.
We've tried out some new restaurants in Vegas over the last month..They're so so.
That's all I've got for this month..

Debbie sittin in Pahrump notes

I don't think this should be called travel notes since we're just sitting here for now.
 How's everyone.. We're good..
It's now May and it's still really cool here (especially for me I don't like cool) but to make matters colder we've had lots of northern winds that really bites..
Oh don't get me wrong we'll have a couple of nice 85 degree days with a light breezy and just when you dig your sandals out of the closet it drops 20 degrees on you and it's too cold for sandals..
I did a craft fair on Friday and Sat and it was beautiful weather, I got sunburn on my arms then late Saturday evening the winds started gusting to 40mph and the temps dropped back to 50.. Sorry all you guys from cold states 50 with blowing north wind chills me to the core.
The craft fair went great.. Me and a couple other Mary Kay ladies put out our display and then visit with ladies and some men when they walk by.. It's how we get our leads and schedule our parties and make overs.
We've had some company over the last couple of months.. Gary and Marge came to town in late March and we had lunch with them,, they were here the very weekend that Reid went to MN so we didn't get to see them as much as we would have liked. Bob and Nancy stopped by a couple of days in Apr on there journey back to MI. We had lunch with them a couple of times and afternoons on the back patio..We know the only reason they love sitting on our patio is to play with the girls.. Molly and Lady do love their N and B. They know somewhere hidden in the purse is a treat bag.
Danny is planning to visit sometime this yr he was hoping for Summer but now it's looking like early fall which will be better if he doesn't like the dry heat like I do.
I guess that's all I got for this week or should I say month.
if something interesting happens I'll post it.

I'm really bad at updating aren't I

I can't believe it's Feb and I haven't posted since Christmas.. It doesn't seem like that long then again it really does. I have been very busy with park activities and my Mary Kay business. Reid calls it a hobby. He can call it whatever he wants. It gives me something to do.
We're getting packed up to leave soon.We need to get back to NV cause Reid has a conference with the ministry to attend/work at in late March so we have to get back to the house and get the media room set back up.. I can say we never dreamed that we'd we working with and volunteering for a ministry but that's actually what we've done.. We plan to get more involved with the ministry and our Church once we're back in NV.
I've been busy around the park with several events to attend one being the street party we had yesterday with our sister park.. there were over 500 people attending and we had a blast..There was food (free) and games music and socializing. The sun was out and a nice breeze. In the valley if you say it's free they will come.
In between packing, and dancing and running errands I thought I'd get this update done.. I'll try to do better with my updates but you know me I've said that before and didn't do it.

Merry Christmas

Hello Everyone.. I hope each and everyone of you had a wonderful Christmas.. We've had a great one.
The park kicked off the fun with our annual golf cart Christmas parade.. That's always fun.. Some times I drive our cart but other times I wave at all the other drivers as they pass by our place. It's so fun to watch them go by and see all the different ideas people come up with. Then I got my Christmas cards handed out and went to a Christmas Open House on Christmas Eve with friends and saw dozens more friends. Today Reid and I had Christmas Dinner with about 60 park friends down at our club house.. If the kids can't be here then it's the greatest way to spend the holidays. Afterwards I headed over to Phyllis' for a visit with all her family.
It's been a fun few days and tomorrow it will go back to normal around here "till the next party" and speaking of parties, Mexico sure knows how to party.. They have festivities for the next several days with music and fireworks that we can hear from our place.. These parties go on way into the night and last a few days after the new years.
Our weather was great too. we were in the 70's the last few days and sunny but it's back into the 50's for the next few days. We've had a shower tonight and more rain expected tomorrow.
Merry Christmas and Love from Reid and Debbie

Early Christmas Gift

Today while out shopping I ran into some "E"  friends of ours that we hadn't seen or heard from in a long time. It was so great to see W & G again. They looked wonderful and we had a nice visit in the "chip" isle.
W told me it had been a while since I'd updated my blog so I decided to do that today.
I haven't really done too much since we arrived because of my Achilles tendonitis.. I've been babying my heels and keeping them iced and elevated..
The park is busy with activities so I've been watching line dance since I can't dance right now. We've also had three dances where I keep the pop corn popping. That's fun for me, I get to talk to everyone and listen to music and since I'm behind the counter and away for everyone I can sing along with the band and no one hears me.
We've checked out three Churches in the area and I believe we've decide on Grace Community Church in Pharr as to the one we'll be attending regularly.
We have our golf cart parade tomorrow evening and we're going to be having Christmas Dinner at the Rec center with park friends..That should be fun.
I will try to keep this blog updated more often.. I promise...

I'm a Valley girl

Am I the only one that thought that was funny.. Half the year I'm in the Rio Grande Valley and the other half I'm in the Pahrump Valley.
We arrived in Mission Thurs afternoon. It was cooler than I expected it to be but a front had just gone through the day before dropping 4 inches of rain in a 6 hour period here.. that's a lot for this place. Mosquitoes love me so I've already been bitten.
We spend the rest of the weekend unpacking and organizing.. I'm still straightening and organizing and it will probably take me the rest of the week to get all done.. We sleep in the RV but do the cooking and showering  in the casita so things have to be moved around.. Once we get set up I like to decorate with my statues and get things place where I like for them to stay for the season. Once all that's done I'm ready to get started on the fun stuff..
I took a short walk this morning but it took a while cause I kept talking to people.. took me almost an hour to get 3/10 of a mile.  I usually do 2 miles in 45 minutes so I was slow today.
I know why Reid feels bad here the humidity is bothering me this yr too.. I'm just wiped out from it.
This week we're starting dance again so that will keep me busy.. I'm not working in the office this season so that frees up my mornings to do aerobics and walking.. hopefully I'll get aerobics started this week but it might wait till next week.. We'll see.

St David, Van Horn and San Antonio

I really thought I'd posted since Mesa but it appears I didn't. We're fine.. We did the first half of the trip in 11 days. And the last half we did in three days so it was hectic but it was a good trip..
We stayed in St David for two nights. It's a membership park and it was pretty nice..No complaints not even ants..
Then it was off to Van Horn, TX nothing much there just a place to stop in between AZ border and San Antonio. The only thing I remember about Van Horn is the grass is full of sand spurs.. If you don't know what that is ask your puppies.. They are very sharp sticky spurs and the girls can't walk once they get in their paws. They are tiny some times and you can't see them so I took the girls for their walks and the spurs got all over the girls paws and fur and our shoes and we track them all over the RV. It's been swept, vac'd and I've also hand picked them out of the carpet and we're still stepping on them in our sock feet.. it's awful..
Leaving Van Horn and stopping for the night near SA. We stayed outside the city about 40 miles and we alway have to stop at Sea Island Shrimp House when we come through there.. it's delicious. There's four locations there but we'd sure love for one to open in Mission.
We left at 7am to avoid rush hour but about three minutes later we were already getting to heavy traffic so we took the loop around the city hoping to avoid a lot of the congestion and we did pretty good for the most part.. 1 hr and 20 minutes later we were out of the city and heading toward the valley.
